What is your background in research?
As an Emerging Scholar, I spent two years working on Ward Lyle’s research team in the Urban Planning department at KU. Our research focused on natural disasters and hazard mitigation. This means our work entailed researching how communities across the United States plan, prevent, and recover from natural disasters and hazards.
What do you do at the Center for Undergraduate Research?
I assist the Director of the Emerging Scholars program by creating programming for students and leading a group of peer mentors. In addition to my Emerging Scholar responsibilities, I help with various administrative tasks around the Center’s office in Strong Hall (stop by to say hi!)
