Q: What surprised you about doing research?
A: I was surprised by how diverse the possibilities for research are.
Q: What do you like most about your research?
A: I like that it allows me to pursue activities, while subsidizing my time, that I would still be doing even if I didn't have the award. It also feels rewarding to have my work be more associated with the university.
Q: What advice would you give to a friend wanting to get involved in research?
A: Apply for a UGRA! You can learn what you don't know about research as you go. That's what I'm doing.
Q: How do you spend your time when you're not doing research?
A: I read a lot. I watch a lot of sports, too.
