Research mentor: Nancy Hamilton

Q: What surprised you about doing research?

A: First, writing an honors thesis in English and in a different cultural framework is a real challenge for me. Secondly, it was surprising that it took me a whole semester to finish literature review and a research proposal. In addition, data collection was harder and slower than I expected at the beginning of the research project.

Q: What do you like most about your research?

A: I like the mediation model we proposed in our pilot study the most.

Q: What advice would you give to a friend wanting to get involved in research?

A: Please make sure that you find a responsible mentor and save enough time for your research project during the semester.

Q: How do you spend your time when you’re not working on your research?

A: I work out and hang out with friends when I am not working on my research project.
